Job Summary
Trade Payables Finance Systems Solutions Engineering Lead is a senior-management role within Citi TTS focused on leading a Business Solution Analyst unit for Trade Finance / Supply Chain Finance. The role partners with Product, Operations and Engineering to define vision and strategy, drives cross-functional technical direction, leads the end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise systems, promotes modern development practices (CI/CD, DevOps), and ensures governance, risk, and regulatory alignment. Responsibilities include establishing and guiding a team of analysts, shaping design patterns and integration standards, driving architecture improvements, coordinating stakeholder expectations, and mentoring staff to deliver scalable, high-performance financial systems. Requires deep hands-on experience in technology delivery, modern stacks (Java/Spring, Oracle, NoSQL), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), event-driven architectures (Kafka/Solace), API ecosystems, security and data handling, performance optimization, and strong leadership across multiple stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of hands-on business solution analysis and technology delivery experience
- Experience driving software delivery transformation through SAFe Agile practice
- Knowledge of Domain Driven design, BDD, TDD
- Hands on with Java & Spring Framework, Oracle and NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Container (Docker) and Kubernetes
- Event-driven (Solace or Kafka)
- API documentation and API-driven payments/services
- Security patterns and PII data handling
- Performance tuning of large tech solutions
- Recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance of enterprise transaction systems
- Leadership and talent management skills
- Experience building enterprise-grade financial tech solutions
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
