Trade Execution Associate

Job Summary
Execute and book physical protein trades in internal systems, validating terms and preparing purchase orders while maintaining close relationships with suppliers and brokers. Manage end-to-end logistics from order confirmation through final delivery, tracking shipments and resolving exceptions such as delays or temperature deviations. Monitor inventory positions across multiple locations, perform reconciliations, and investigate variances with cross-functional teams. Administer food safety and QA programs, ensuring compliance with USDA and FDA requirements while coordinating product holds and recalls. Serve as a liaison between trading, logistics, and finance teams to ensure accurate data entry and support month-end close activities. This role supports the front office sales and trading team within StoneX Group's Commercial segment, focusing on beef, poultry, pork, and seafood supply chains.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in trading operations, commodity operations, supply chain, or logistics, preferably within proteins or perishable goods
- Working knowledge of physical protein markets (beef, poultry, pork, seafood) and cold chain logistics
- Familiarity with food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance in the protein or food industry
- Experience using ERP, trading, or inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Agri based systems, Quickbooks, Quickbase, or similar platforms)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with front office trading teams and external brokers
- Detail oriented, analytical, and organized with excellent documentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven trading environment
- Onsite 4 days per week, 1 day per week remote
- Occasional visits to other offices, client meetings and industry events
- Some travel required
