Job Summary
Trade Compliance Specialist to coordinate import/export shipments from origin through customs clearance, review and approve trade documentation (Pedimentos, Certificates of Origin USMCA/T-MEC, invoices), ensure Ley Aduanera and USMCA/T-MEC and IMMEX compliance, maintain HS classifications and valuations, collaborate with customs brokers/freight forwarders, resolve clearance issues, monitor activities for compliance, support audits, and provide guidance on import/export requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3–6 years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, import/export, or international logistics
- Strong knowledge of Mexican Customs Regulations (Ley Aduanera)
- USMCA/T-MEC
- IMMEX Program (preferred)
- HS Classification and Customs Valuation
- Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
- ERP experience required; SAP preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
