Trade Compliance Manager

Job Summary
Lead and manage day-to-day trade compliance operations for the US and Canada, with global scope. Develop, implement, and continuously improve trade compliance programs, policies, SOPs, and internal controls across US, Canada, and Europe. Drive tariff mitigation strategies and cost-avoidance initiatives, identify regulatory risks and opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Logistics, R&D, and Quality to ensure adherence to trade laws and internal policies. Maintain subject-matter expertise on EAR, ECCN, country of origin determinations, and related classifications; oversee regulatory risk reduction and efficiency improvements. Preferred: U.S. Licensed Customs Broker; experience with Oracle/ERP and data analytics tools (Power BI); background in manufacturing, especially life sciences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 6+ years of experience in customs, export controls, or related field
- Proficient knowledge of US export regulations (EAR, Census, OFAC, ECCN, export licensing)
- Advanced expertise in U.S. customs regulations (valuation, HTS, origin)
- Working knowledge of Canadian and EU import/export regulations
- Experience with tariff mitigation strategies (free trade agreements, duty drawback)
