Job Summary
Monitor EMEA region compliance with local, national, and international regulations, translating customs, export controls, and post-Brexit trade agreements into internal policies. Manage certification documentation for environmental standards like RoHS and REACH, while identifying risks to advise on mitigation strategies. Operate independently on organization-wide projects, serving as a subject matter expert to resolve complex compliance issues and lead training programs. Plan and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring alignment with global standards. Serve as the primary contact for Customs Authorities and EU Regulators, maintaining relationships for accurate reporting. Collaborate with global entities to align regional compliance initiatives and ensure consistent governance across the Navico Group.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in compliance role
- experience in an international environment
- University Degree in Compliance, International Trade or related field
- certified compliance professional
- Competent in spoken/written English
- Proven track record in the compliance work field
- Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, including customs, export controls, sanctions, and free trade agreements (e.g., USMCA, EU regulations, WTO rules)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex regulations into bitesize pieces for the organization
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects and providing subject matter expertise on compliance issues
- Ability to train and engage diverse teams on compliance-related topics
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with authorities and external regulators
