Trade Compliance Controller

Job Summary

Manage day-to-day trade compliance activities by receiving and monitoring global trade laws, tariffs, sanctions, and embargoes. Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies while conducting periodic audits to assess adherence to domestic and international regulations. Ensure all customs declarations, shipping documents, and permits are accurate, and determine correct HS codes to apply applicable duties and minimize risk. Prepare customer documentation including SLIs, USMCA, and certificates of origin, and maintain relationships with government agencies and legal experts. Requires a bachelor's degree in business or international relations, at least two years of international trade compliance experience, and proficiency in ERP systems.

  • At least 1-year experience with basic knowledge of customs compliance and international trade

  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in international trade compliance
  • Demonstrated experience in import/export compliance roles

  • 1 year of regulatory compliance or internal controls experience
