Job Summary
The Trade Associate role is a retail-based, customer-facing position focused on establishing and managing relationships with existing trade members while building new accounts. Responsibilities include utilizing effective selling techniques to achieve sales goals, providing high-quality customer service, processing sales transactions, and guiding trade members through the shopping and order placement process. The role requires strong brand and product knowledge, participation in industry events, and accountability for location trade KPIs. Qualifications include a high school diploma, interior design certification, and relevant experience in retail sales and customer service.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in retail sales (speciality retail preferred)
- 1–2 years’ experience in customer service
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and the ability to influence business partners at all levels
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software programs
