Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Associate's degree and one year of related experience
• •High school diploma or GED and three years of related experience
• •Valid Florida driver's license
• •Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
• •Knowledge of Applicable OSHA regulations and safety procedures
• •Knowledge of best practices in trade and industry labs and shops
• •Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
• •Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers
• •Ability to build relationships
• •Ability to manage customer expectations
• •Ability to take responsibility for a high level of service
• •Ability to operate motor vehicle
• •Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 pounds
• •Ability to reach and grasp objects
• •Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• •Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• •Ability to use a video display terminal
• •Ability to use manual dexterity and fine motor skills
• •Ability to identify and distinguish colors and shades of color

• •Ability to work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury
• •Ability to experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions
• •Ability to control and dispose of hazardous materials within a lab environment
• •Ability to utilize technical expertise to identify and purchase appropriate equipment, tools, supplies, and materials for the assigned programs
• •Ability to monitor preventative maintenance schedules for equipment, machines, and facilities
• •Ability to inspect equipment and machinery for safe operation
• •Ability to report any observed problems to supervisor
• •Ability to maintain records for performance, out-of-service, and in-service facilities, plants, and equipment
• •Ability to coordinate, install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment
• •Ability to fabricate metal parts and tools
• •Ability to perform preventive maintenance on equipment consistent with equipment recommendations
• •Ability to respond to complex inquiries from all levels of employees or external sources regarding a variety of questions
• •Ability to assist with preparing activity and incident reports
• •Ability to acquire knowledge of other staff duties and serve as a backup as necessary
• •Ability to maintain and review inventory records
• •Ability to perform other job-related duties as assigned
• •Must be able to pass a drug test
• •Must be able to complete a criminal background investigation

Desired Qualifications

• •Minimum two years of related experience in the electrical field
• •OSHA certification
• •Earned industry-recognized trades credential
