Job Summary
Conduct transactional reviews and audits of all import/export records while holding up the development of the Trade Compliance policy framework. Deliver specific training programs, consolidate and evaluate issues to provide correction recommendations, and administer audit results. Partner with operations, purchasing, and logistics vendors to drive regional cost savings initiatives and manage integration for new business or mergers. Assist with investigations to track corrective actions and ensure timely completion of findings. Maintain working relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders using IT solutions to uphold Trade Compliance programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, International Business, or a related field
- Experience in global logistics and import/export operations
- Knowledge of international trade documentation, including commercial invoices, air/ocean freight documentation, certificates, and shipping documents
- Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders
- Knowledge of customs regulations and government laws applicable to international trade
- Experience with part number classification and document control
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal business environments
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Basic comprehension of import/export laws, regulations, policies and procedures
- Holds up for development and delivery of Trade Compliance policy framework, procedures and process
- Deliver specific training programs as required by manager
- Participate in projects which drive strategies and initiatives at the regional and site level to deliver Global Trade Cost Savings initiatives
- Conduct effective transactional review and audit of all imports/export records
- Consolidate, researches and evaluates issues and provide recommendations of correction
- Partner and manage integration of new business or mergers and acquisitions
- Establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners including operations, purchasing, logistics, material planning, transportation vendors, etc
- Assist with investigations and assessments, help track and deliver corrective actions to address findings and recommendations and ensure timely completion
- Administer audit/assessment results
- Make use of IT Solutions and communication platforms to holds up Trade Compliance programs
- Located in Guadalajara, North Campus
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing environments or global supply chain operations
- Knowledge of ERP systems and logistics management tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
