Job Summary
Operate all Company vehicles for transporting materials and supplies interstate and intrastate under general supervision. Load and unload vehicles using required equipment while maintaining all associated paperwork. Direct and train assigned employees as needed. Perform other related and lesser skilled work as required. Must possess a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License and pass driving, manual transmission, and load securement skill demonstrations. Work extra and/or irregular hours as required, demonstrating ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass physical ability tests. Maintain alertness in observing hazards and developing limited-scope work plans.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Pass a tractor trailer driving, manual transmission, and load securement skills demonstration
- Willingness to work extra and/or irregular hours
- Strength and dexterity adequate to safely perform all the duties of this classification
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pass physical ability test to demonstrate two techniques of lifting
- At least a high school graduate or possess the GED equivalency
- Ability to be particularly alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents
- Ability to develop and plan work of limited scope
