Job Summary
Operate a tractor trailer unit to safely transport and load/unload vehicles and equipment for Astro Towing. Assess vehicles and equipment prior to service, document condition as required, communicate with dispatch via towing application to manage status, and complete pre-trip inspections and required paperwork. Maintain truck and equipment, follow safety standards and regulations, provide professional customer service, and participate in training and on-call rotations. This role requires mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and physical capability to perform duties including lifting, bending, climbing, and kneeling; on-site work in Saskatoon with in-person remote option. Required Qualifications
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 1A driver’s license
- minimum of two years’ experience with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations
- Familiarity with sliding axle trailers and their hauling capabilities would be considered an asset
- An acceptable criminal record check is required
- As a safety-sensitive position, requires clear pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing (including marijuana)
