Job Summary
Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain logs per DOT Regulations, and perform preventive maintenance on trucks. Load, unload, and properly secure cargo including earthmoving equipment, diesel engines, and palletized items while adhering to contamination control procedures. Keep accurate records of all work and ensure proper documentation such as MSDS for hazardous materials. Drive day and night across customer, vendor, or company shop locations, operating under physical risk and all weather conditions. Maintain a clean, neat truck and uphold safety standards while demonstrating initiative and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- strong mechanical aptitude
- prior experience hauling equipment and operating
- Experience using personal computers and basic typing skills
- Customer service skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computing skills
- Area specific technical training
- OSHA and MSHA required training
- Compliance training
- Lifting up to 75 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Individuals with prior experience hauling equipment and operating will be given stronger consideration.
