Tractor Technician

Job Summary
Tractor Technician responsible for in-house major/minor repairs on the Reefer fleet, diagnosing and repairing equipment to meet fleet cost-per-mile goals, rebuilding components, and performing preventative maintenance inspections. Ensures compliance with company, EPA, and Safety policies to meet local/state/federal standards; completes repair orders with accurate labor and parts charges; returns unused parts to the parts room; participates in company training and demonstrates learned skills; maintains a clean work area; and performs additional duties as assigned. Must possess mechanical aptitude, lift at least 50 pounds, and be able to work various shifts and climates. Education/training: High School education with preferred post-high school training or 2+ years in tractor maintenance. Marten Transport offers full benefits to full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education with one year post high school training preferred or two plus years’ experience in tractor maintenance.
