Job Summary
Diagnose and repair major and minor in-house reefer fleet equipment while rebuilding components and performing preventative maintenance inspections. Ensure all repairs comply with company, EPA, and safety policies, then complete repair orders and return unused parts to the parts room. Maintain a clean work area and attend all training classes, retaining and demonstrating instructed knowledge. Work various shifts and days in extreme climates, lifting up to 50 pounds, to meet fleet cost-per-mile goals.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education
- one year post high school training
- two plus years experience in tractor maintenance
- mechanical skills
- aptitude for the position
- skills and knowledge
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long hours
- Must be able to work various shifts and days
- Must be able to work in all types of climates including extreme hot and cold
Desired Qualifications
- High School Education with one year post high school training preferred
