Job Summary
Perform intermediate-level maintenance, service, and repair on J.B. Hunt tractors, including troubleshooting fuel systems, engines, transmissions, and air brakes. Execute preventative maintenance, replace parts, and ensure all units meet company specifications for FHWA inspections and standard repair times. Work independently to complete work orders while adhering to shop safety procedures and company requirements. Assist with onboarding new trainees and participate in Original Equipment Manufacturing training. This role involves potential outdoor work across multiple shifts, including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- 1-2 years of experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair
- training and/or military equivalent experience
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends
- A/C Certification
- At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections
- FHWA inspections
- air brakes
- Basic tools
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
