Job Summary
Examine and diagnose equipment, discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor, and communicate additional service requests. Plan work cooperatively, provide labor estimates, and monitor repair time while updating the service advisor. Complete documentation for client repairs and assist in mentoring technician trainees. Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies, follow federal and state regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal, and attend company and factory training to keep current with technical bulletins. This 5-day work week closes on Sundays at a specialty dealership serving mid-Ohio communities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years related experience
- related training
- Operator Driver's License
- State Inspection License
- diagnosing and repairing vehicles
- maintaining a positive attitude
- strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)
