Job Summary
Operate tractors with various attachments to support grounds maintenance operations, including mowing, grading, hauling, and field cultivation across assigned facilities. Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper function and safety, perform basic maintenance, and coordinate repairs as needed. Follow all safety procedures and use PPE at all times. Assist with seasonal grounds tasks such as snow removal, storm cleanup, leaf management, landscaping, irrigation support, and turf maintenance; read and interpret work orders and site plans to execute tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience operating tractors and related attachments in grounds, farm, or construction environments
- Working knowledge of safe tractor operation, basic mechanics, and equipment care
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience operating heavy equipment in grounds, construction, agriculture, or related environments
- Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain a CDL if required by the department
- Knowledge of safe operating practices and OSHA/industry safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, site plans, and verbal instructions
