Job Summary
Conduct independent technical reviews and provide guidance on complex traction power engineering projects, including proposal development, scope implementation, and change management. Advise project leadership and production staff on resolving technical issues while ensuring industry and firm design standards are applied consistently across diverse project scales. Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners at the local leadership level to deliver specifications and plans. Author technical papers and presentations to promote industry knowledge and collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for technical improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in Engineering
- 9 years of relevant experience
- PhD in Engineering
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Uses persuasion to communicate solutions while understanding the project goals and interests of the stakeholders
- Demonstrates a vision for complex and unique challenges
- Understands engineering principles behind the design code requirements
- Promotes knowledge within the industry through authoring technical papers, technical presentations, and serving on technical committees
- Understands, supports, and influences multiple concurrent projects
- Discovers opportunities for technical improvements across the firm and collaborates with peers to share ideas
- Serves as a subject matter expert in their field
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Engineering
- 15 years relevant experience (Traction Power)
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline)
