Job Summary
Tracking Specialist provides operational support for sample tracking technologies at LabConnect, onsite in Johnson City, TN. Responsibilities include accurate data entry into the sample tracking platform, coordinating with couriers to troubleshoot shipping issues, managing clinical trial event schedules to ensure patient visit compliance, handling queries related to demographics and sample tracking discrepancies, performing data quality checks, resolving sample discrepancies with Biospecimen Operations and other departments, monitoring site compliance with tracking technologies, coordinating sample shipments with trial sites or clients, providing study updates and requested metrics, and interfacing with investigator sites, project management, reference laboratories, customer service, shipping, and data management personnel. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and a meticulous approach to data and processes, with on-site work expected and a schedule that includes occasional Saturday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with +2 years clinical or laboratory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate software and databases
- Experience in customer service and Microsoft Office applications (Excel) preferred
- Very high attention to detail and multitasking skills required
