Job Summary

Assist with track inspections and job site management by working closely with Operations personnel to ensure service meets customer requirements and schedules. Inspect customer facilities for defects requiring repair and provide reports to Estimators for bidding purposes. Resolve customer service issues while maintaining quality service through adherence to organization standards. Travel as required to various on-site locations in the elements, ambulate around active construction sites and railroad tracks, and make decisions with a strong focus on safety and quality. A high school diploma and 3-5 years of construction experience are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to ambulate in and around active construction sites, in and around railroad tracks and uneven terrain
  • Ability to read and interpret documents
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Must be comfortable engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written)
  • Must be comfortable making decisions with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Strong working knowledge of one's field or discipline in which they find themselves engaged on a daily basis

Desired Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in construction
  • project management, including experience analyzing project costs and information, setting project budgets, and estimating costs
  • 2 years' construction field experience
  • Ability to build and develop positive working relationships with customers and vendors
  • Superior communication skills
  • Strong teamwork, initiative, resilience, and tact
  • Proficient with computer software to conduct daily business activities (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
