Job Summary
Operate railroad maintenance-of-way equipment in a safe and efficient manner, performing safety checks and maintenance. Responsibilities include reporting defects, participating in job briefings, performing preventative maintenance and adjustments, and maintaining regulatory documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of experience in operating similar equipment, ability to lift up to sixty pounds, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of verifiable experience operating railroad maintenance-of-way equipment
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment problems
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written communication, both general and technical
- Ability to occasionally lift up to sixty pounds
- Ability to operate equipment in varying working and weather conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
