Job Summary
Coaches athletes to play their best individually and as a team across sports (e.g., football, baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf) by teaching fundamental and advanced athletic skills, understanding equipment, physical fitness, safety, and game rules; responsible for coordinating and recruiting student participants; must have a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification, with CHSAA coaching registration and teacher certification preferred; role requires living in Colorado and meeting physical demands; Denver Public Schools emphasizes equity and accountability while offering hourly pay or stipends and total rewards.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain prior to coaching
- CHSAA coaching registration completion
- Teacher Certification preferred
- coaching experience or experience with urban youth or teaching experience (preferred)
