Job Summary
Head Track Coach at a high school in Riverside with a Spring season (February–May). Responsibilities include directing, supervising, and evaluating all assistant coaches; coordinating with the athletic director for insurance coverage and schedules; working with other head coaches to operate a balanced program; fostering sportsmanship and pride; directing training and conditioning for the varsity team; supervising and assisting assistant coaches; attending varsity contests and as many JV and freshman contests as possible; advising on schedules, officials, equipment, and facility needs; ensuring medical examinations for athletes; organizing recruitment of support staff; maintaining records, statistics, and photos; and recommending varsity letters or qualifications for awards. Qualifications include coaching experience at high school or college levels and CPR/First Aid training; preference for Loudoun County Public Schools teaching or classified staff experience and a Virginia teaching license.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience or participation in the sport at high school or college levels
- Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in current CPR and First Aid training course
- Prefer experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools
- Prefer a Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools
