Job Summary
Understand product requirements and identify specifications for publications with minor supervision. Identify client writing styles and produce technical documentation conforming to Microsoft, Apple, or Chicago standards. Estimate development efforts, agree deadlines with the Project Manager, and communicate task status to ensure delivery. Interview subject matter experts to gather project details and create documentation templates for various outputs. Write and edit interface and procedural documentation including user guides, installation guides, release notes, and help systems. Coach and mentor junior staff while participating in competence development events.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Understanding the software documentation specifics
- Deep knowledge of software terminology
- Knowledge of technical documentation development methodology (DDLC) and its interdependence with SDLC
- Experience in setting up documentation processes
- Proven experience in updating documentation according to the existing templates
- Solid experience in creating documentation and templates (if needed) from scratch
- Proven experience in UX writing
- Advanced level of English
