Job Summary
Track 7th Grade Coach for Jt. Jerome School District #261. Provide knowledge, motivation, and leadership in an activity where students can excel to their full potential while supporting physical wellbeing, moral character, and social/mental development. Responsibilities include supervising team conduct at practices and contests, attending all practices/contests, promoting sportsmanship, maintaining eligibility records, reporting violations, handling public relations with participants/parents/administrators, recruiting participants, promoting the district program, and adhering to policies. Requires professional development through classes/workshops and affiliations with professional organizations. Qualifications include CPR/First Aid, concussion, and cardiac-arrest certifications. Desirable traits include ability to work with diverse stakeholders and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven ability to work with students, coaches, administrators and parents
- One year experience coaching specific sport or participation in a college or high school program specific to that sport, and multiple years playing at Varsity or College level.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, concussion certification, and cardiac arrest certification.
