Job Summary
Greet every customer on entry and execute the Five Steps to a Sale at every opportunity. Operate the Point of Sale system accurately while offering current promotions and utilizing calendars.com for special orders. Maintain a store environment meeting visual merchandising standards by receiving shipments, resetting features, and completing regular housekeeping tasks. Open and/or close the store as scheduled, preparing cash banks and making nightly deposits while completing the closing checklist. This part-time role requires up to 20 hours per week, including weekends and evenings as needed. Go! Retail Group is a family-owned retailer of calendars, games, and toys operating over 200 year-round stores nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- One year of retail experience (or experience related in this field)
- Enthusiasm about being an impactful and innovative leader
- Self-motivated, passionate about the work you put out, lead with optimism and a solution-oriented mindset
- High integrity, accountability, reliability, and responsible individual who is open to feedback
- Create an exciting shopping experience by staying connected with the customer needs
- Knowledge in retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention
- Basic computer skills, POS system and Microsoft office
- Able to perform basic math functions
