Job Summary
Manage all phases of toxic tort and asbestos litigation from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other litigation-related documents. Take and defend fact witness, corporate representative, and expert depositions while conducting legal research to develop case strategy. Analyze medical, scientific, industrial hygiene, and occupational exposure evidence to evaluate liability and damages with clients, experts, and co-counsel. Attend court appearances, mediations, settlement conferences, and arbitrations, and assist with trial preparation and proceedings as needed. Requires a Juris Doctor and active New York license with 2+ years of litigation experience. Competitive compensation, performance-based bonuses, and hybrid work flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New York
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of litigation experience preferred
- Experience handling toxic tort, asbestos, product liability, environmental, mass tort, insurance defense, or complex civil litigation matters is highly desirable
- Strong deposition, motion practice, legal research, and writing skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
