Job Summary
As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you'll provide service to applicants seeking home loans, including interviewing, pre-qualification and pre-approval. Responsibilities include managing and generating referral business, quoting interest rates, and using Loan Origination Software. You will also communicate loan statuses with customers, mentor other Loan Officers, and participate in community outreach efforts. Required skills include a valid NMLS number, loan origination experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NMLS number
- At least 1-year experience originating VA, FHA, Conventional and VHDA loans
- Proven sales record based on closed loan production
- Sources of referral business for purchase transactions
- Awareness of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA and VHDA underwriting guidelines
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Working knowledge of Encompass software
