Job Summary
Climb various heights on multiple structures to perform antenna, mount, and cable installations while participating in new tower construction and routine maintenance. Assist in site testing and troubleshoot electronic components across cell, microwave, and lighting systems. Recognize safety hazards and execute all duties using proper fall protection techniques, including 100% tie-off methods. Maintain professional attitudes with co-workers and customers while continuing industry education. Level 2 technicians mentor Level 1 staff; all roles require extensive travel, including extended stays of three to six weeks, and work in adverse weather conditions. Valid driver's license and DOT physical certification are required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel and be able to work within a non-structured schedule, i.e., long hours, weekends, etc.
- Must have valid Driver's License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification.
- Must have complete knowledge on use and care of basic hand tools and power tools
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements set forth by applicable standards and manufacturer requirements set for PPE, equipment, and tools
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy or awkward objects weighing 50lbs or more
- General tower and fall protection safety knowledge and ability to utilize 100% tie off techniques at all times
- Basic Rigging
- First Aid/CPR
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Authorized Climber (Level I)
- Authorized Rescue (Level I)
- Competent Climber (Level II)
- Competent Rescue (Level II)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of DOT driver qualifications
Desired Qualifications
- We would prefer experience in Tower Construction, Antenna and Line Installations, Microwave Installations, and Tower Modifications
- Electrical/electronics education a plus
- CDL Class A certification a plus
