Job Summary
Conduct daily tower construction and maintenance, ensuring all work adheres to safety and quality guidelines. Perform rigging, hoisting, landing, and fastening while installing equipment such as masts, antennas, and cabling. Assist the Tower Crew Leader with coax, fiber, and hybrid cable installations, including connector work, testing, weather proofing, and labeling. Execute grounding, terminations, bolting, and cad-welding as required. Maintain vehicles and tool inventory. Must climb heights up to 400 feet, lift 50 lbs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Requires valid driver's license, willingness to travel out of state for months, and ability to work long, unpredictable hours. Current OSHA 10hr certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must value safety over and above all other considerations
- Willing to work independently under limited supervision
- Provide communication and customer service that is white-glove
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements set forth in ANSI Z359 for fall protection gear
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be able to climb and perform work at various heights, up to 400 feet, for long periods of time
- Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to pull his/her own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of time
- Must be willing to travel out of market/state, for up to several months at a time
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and Motor Vehicle Record check
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening screening and random tests there after
- Must be able to read and understand construction drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specs, testing procedures, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- Current OSHA 10hr certification is a plus
