Job Summary
Level I Technician, Tower at 5 Star Electric, a premier electrical contractor, is an entry-level role focused on learning to climb and work on wireless towers under close supervision. Responsibilities include installing microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs and other wireless equipment on towers, conducting tower maintenance, using hand tools and mechanical equipment, and recognizing hazards associated with tower climbing and energized lines. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, verbal/written communication, and physical endurance (climbing tall structures with 50 lb loads; heavy manual labor). Candidates should be able to pass motor vehicle and background checks, comply with drug-free policies, and have OSHA 10 certification with First Aid/CPR preferred; one or more years of construction or wireless experience is expected.
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 10 Certification Required
- First Aid / CPR Certification Preferred
- One (1+) years of experience in a construction or wireless industry
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License
- Criminal background check and MVR background checks, pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load
- Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
- Ability to work in various physical positions and endure weather conditions
