Job Summary
Tower Technician performs tower-related functions in the Tower Construction department across multiple sites, including tower builds/deconstructs, installation of antennas, dishes, cables and grounding, site build outs, and testing of components. Role requires climbing towers or structures and traveling with another Tower Technician up to ~75% of the time. Responsibilities include planning crew schedules, coordinating with customers and subcontractors, ordering parts, and ensuring grounding to R56 standards. Requires readiness to climb, use hand and power tools, operate equipment such as excavators or skid steers, and comply with safety requirements (OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR preferred). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; plus 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Climbing capability; willing to climb; no fear of heights
- Hand tool/power tool experience
- Authorized Climber & Competent Climber/Rescue certification would be a plus
- OSHA Construction 10 HR Safety Training or OSHA 10-Hour Safety Card plus First Aid and CPR would be a plus
- CDL would be a plus
- Driver’s License preferred
