Job Summary
Analyze data from custom screens to proactively communicate airline changes, gate swaps, and delays to dispatch and catering teams. Monitor arrival and departure times, alert management when departure times are jeopardized, and track all flight, meal order, and service level changes. Serve as the unit's primary representative in the Airport Tower, making operational decisions, relaying flight updates to ramp drivers, and directing work flow. Partner with the Department Manager to contest delays and resolve customer concerns while ensuring drivers complete run sheets accurately. Rotate periodically between day, night, and vacation shifts.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma
- Associate's degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a customer service capacity
- 1 year experience directing the work of others
- Experience working in the airline industry
- Basic computer skills
- Able to drive on the ramp
- Able to multi-task in a dynamic customer environment
- Detail oriented
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to keep calm in high pressure environment
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision/off-site environment
- Able to make independent decisions
- Able to compile data from multiple sources with a high degree of accuracy
- Able to communicate status changes to all parties in a timely manner
