Job Summary
Conduct site excavation, trenching, and foundation pouring for tower bases while operating light construction equipment like compact track loaders and mini-excavators. Assemble, erect, and upgrade communication towers by installing RF cabling, fiber optics, and grounding systems in accordance with FAA and NEC standards. Coordinate with project managers to schedule outages and manage timelines for infrastructure modernization projects supporting the National Airspace System. Perform tower climbing for inspections and safely decommission legacy equipment. This fully onsite role requires U.S. citizenship and 3–5 years of experience in civil construction or telecommunications installation. Crown Innovations supports government and commercial clients including the FAA and NASA in advancing aviation safety and critical infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Valid driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3–5 years of experience in tower construction, civil infrastructure, or telecommunications installation
- Proven experience with tower assembly, RF cabling, grounding, and electrical systems in aviation or telecommunications environments
- Proficiency operating light construction equipment such as CTL, excavators, or similar equipment
- Knowledge of civil construction practices including conduit work, trenching, and concrete forming
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance and meet background investigation requirements associated with federal contract work
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting, including Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to climb towers and work at height
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely

- Work performed in outdoor construction environments with exposure to noise, heights, and jobsite hazards
- Fully onsite position in the location assigned
- Travel is not required for this role
Desired Qualifications
- Tower climbing certification
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification
- First Aid / CPR certification
- Rigging / Signal Person certification
- Familiarity with FAA Technical Operations and NAS infrastructure
- Experience supporting government contracts for tower upgrades
- Experience using tools such as cable testers, spectrum analyzers, torque wrenches, and hoisting equipment
- Knowledge of environmental considerations such as NEPA compliance or wildlife impact assessments
- Familiarity with hazardous materials handling, including HAZWOPER certification
- Experience supporting sustainable construction practices or modern infrastructure initiatives
- Exposure to emerging technologies such as 5G integration for aviation environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams and adapt to evolving project requirements
