Job Summary
Operates a tow truck to provide tow service to customer vehicles on the auction lot and in different locations as needed. Operates a front-end loader to provide loading/unloading services, moves vehicles around the lot for auction shops, properly secures vehicles to avoid damage, and ensures safe immobilization after unloading. Hangs with TC75 scanning for deliveries, assists with jumping-starts and vehicle unlocks, and may assist in loading vehicles to the mechanic shop. Performs routine maintenance checks on tow truck and loader, adheres to safety procedures, participates in safety activities, runs reports to move vehicles to the sale TRA area, and may work overtime as needed. Requires DOT-related certifications and a valid driver’s license; no visa sponsorship currently offered. Benefits include PTO, holidays, leave options, and equal employment opportunity commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field
- OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years’ experience; OR 7 years’ experience in a related field
- Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required
- Pre-hire Physical needed for DOT medical card
- Completion of DOT Driver Qualification file
- Valid Class C CDL preferred
- Rollback tow truck experience
- 1 – 3 years of experience driving a service/tow truck or frontend loader
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to walk long distances
- Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
