Job Summary
Provide travel information and assistance to the traveling public, stock brochure racks, and assist the welcome center manager with daily operations and general office duties. Work in a heavy volume customer service environment, interacting with the public while lifting up to 40 pounds and performing extensive walking and standing. Schedule includes a minimum of 5 days per month covering holidays and weekends, with the center open 7 days a week from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Candidates must apply through the VTC website with a minimum salary of $15.00/hour. Knowledge of Virginia's travel product, roads, and highway systems is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently in a heavy volume customer service environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, including extensive walking and standing
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to interact with the public
- Basic math and computer skills
- Holiday and weekend work
Desired Qualifications
