Job Summary
The Tour Director Manager is responsible for the hiring and management of 50-55 US, Canadian, and International Tauck Directors. Key responsibilities include ensuring Tour Directors are fully trained, monitoring performance, coaching, scheduling, financial reporting, and managing guest communication. The role requires leadership in staff development, critical information communication through reports, and collaboration across departments to enhance guest satisfaction metrics. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 3 years of management experience in a service-related business.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of successful management or supervision of personnel in a service related business
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Tour Director or Cruise Director experience preferred
- Prior work experience with remote team management
- Proven abilities to successfully manage external supplier networks effectively
- Demonstrated proficiencies in identifying skill set needs and workflow parameters for a business that has fluctuating workforce requirements throughout the year
- Proven computer competencies in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communications skills to represent the Tauck brand
