Tour Accountant

Job Summary
Manage the full accounting lifecycle for assigned domestic and international tours, reviewing and reconciling daily sales reports, revenue, expenses, inventory movements, and cash activity. Prepare detailed tour settlement statements, calculate artist royalties and commissions, and coordinate final payments with Accounts Payable. Complete monthly close responsibilities, including balance sheet reconciliations and accruals, while ensuring all transactions comply with artist contracts and maintain supporting documentation. Serve as the primary accounting contact for the Touring Team, Production, Warehouse, Artist Relations, Legal, and Executive Leadership, responding to financial inquiries promptly. Identify process improvements, develop standardized procedures, and mentor junior accountants.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- 2+ years of entertainment, music, touring, live events, or merchandise accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience preparing financial reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- International accounting exposure
- Foreign currency experience
- Understanding of artist royalty accounting
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
