TouchPoint Programming Coordinator (Service Year Position)

Job Summary

Coordinate the master on-site calendar, room allocations, and weekly runs-of-show for threadHOURS and all other programming at the TouchPoint hub. Manage day-to-day physical logistics including food orders, volunteer tracking, and room setups, while serving as the primary liaison with facilities staff to ensure compliance with safety norms and clean-up protocols. Support briefings and planning sessions for major events, balancing the programming pipeline to maintain a steady cadence of engagement for young people, volunteers, and partners. Commit to full-time service (30–40 hrs/week) Monday through Friday, with mandatory availability until 7:00 PM on Wednesdays and flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work. This role anchors the cornerstone weekly threadHOURS drop-in programming focused on post-high school pathways and resources for youth not enrolled at Thread's site schools.

  • Ability to manage a multi-faceted, recurring programming schedule involving concurrent activities across different rooms and stakeholder groups
  • Consistent availability to work until 7:00 PM on Wednesdays
  • Flexibility to support occasional evening or weekend programming as scheduled at the hub
  • Maryland resident
  • Age 18+
  • Meets MC/SYO eligibility requirements
  • Service Year Option track: ages 18-24 with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Maryland Corps track: any eligible adult 18+
  • Able to commit to full-time service (30–40 hrs/week, generally Monday–Friday during business hours) for the full 9–10 month term
  • Required MC/SYO professional development training
