Job Summary
Manually form totes for product shipment by folding cardboard and securing them to pallets with shrink wrap. Supply tote inventory when stock is low and move formed totes with a manual jack to designated areas. Work on feet up to 10 hours per shift in a plant environment, requiring the ability to stand, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds. Participate in team meetings and foster cohesiveness regarding direction, annual plans, and policy changes. Adhere to Simmons operating systems principles, including quality, security, and office environment standards. Wear required PPE including hearing protection, eyewear, and slip-resistant footwear.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work on feet up to 10 hours per shift
- Must be able to extend arms, bend back and stoop for the entire shift
- Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level and above and at shoulder level
- Preference for poultry or food processing organization
