Job Summary
Total Rewards & Payroll Specialist at Women’s College Hospital responsible for benefits configuration in Dayforce, ASO benefits administration, payroll processing (bi-weekly), year-end activities, compensation analytics, and development of benefits communications within a hospital/healthcare setting. Requires degree in HR or related field, 3–5 years HR/payroll experience in a unionized environment, and preferred professional certifications; Ontario-specific acts and strong analytical and communication skills are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as an HR or Payroll professional in a unionized workplace
- Professional certification (PCP, CHRP or CEBS or CCP) is preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Advanced computer skills (HRIS, Outlook, Microsoft Office – Work, Excel, including pivot tables, vlookups, xlookups and PowerPoint)
- Compensation, benefits and payroll knowledge is required
- Knowledge of Ontario Employment Standards Act, WSIB, Human Rights Code, Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Proven organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work under pressure with minimal direction
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse employee groups
- Professional behavior and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable
