Job Summary
Lead reading intervention for elementary students at Foster Elementary by implementing district-approved curriculum, developing individualized lesson plans, and delivering small group instruction tailored to each pupil's needs. Evaluate student academic and social growth, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports while establishing behavioral standards to foster an effective learning atmosphere. Communicate regularly with parents through newsletters and conferences, coordinate teacher assistants and volunteers, and identify student needs for appropriate referrals. Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, students, and parents while adhering to all district, state, and federal laws.
Required Qualifications
- valid Oregon teaching license with appropriate endorsement
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- knowledge and ability to implement effective teaching practices
