Job Summary
Conduct technology audits for financial services clients by assessing cybersecurity, cloud assurance, and IT general controls to identify risks and efficiency opportunities. Mentor interns and consultants, facilitate project work plans, and lead decision-making on scope, staffing, and deliverables under manager direction. Communicate complex technology and audit findings to client executives while leveraging AI and automation to enhance analysis. Partner with highly regulated clients to ensure regulatory compliance and strengthen professional relationships across the engagement team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field)
- 2+ years working in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or within the financial services industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions a plus
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar preferred
- Experience with or understanding of: IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries
- Commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
- Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements
- Financial services industry regulations
- Exposure to and/or interest in: The latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.
- Analytics and technology enablement (automation, AI/ML etc.)
- Evaluating, summarizing, organizing, and interpreting data
- Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network
- Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives
- Supervisory experience of teams including mentoring, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate
- Experience performing documentation of findings and summarizing recommendations
- You are versed in leveraging AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork and reporting
- You enjoy identifying areas of business and technology risk, and opportunities to improve efficiency, increase performance, and help clients better utilize all technologies
