Job Summary
Cut thick steel and metal structures using torch equipment to meet size requirements for a scrap metal recycling operation. Assist with fabrication tasks by breaking down large materials and prepare scrap metal for container loading and shipment. Operate cutting tools safely and efficiently while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements. Maintain organized work areas and support yard operations to help the team meet daily production goals. This role offers hands-on experience with heavy materials in an outdoor, industrial environment near Miami Airport.
Required Qualifications
- Welding certification
- Reliable transportation to the Allapattah / Miami Airport area
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
Desired Qualifications
- Fabrication or metalwork experience
- Experience with torch cutting thick steel
- Willingness to learn and grow in the scrap metal recycling industry
- Ability to work in an outdoor, industrial environment
