Job Summary
Deckhand on an ongoing vessel responsible for mooring, docking/undocking, line handling, and bridge operations; duties include passenger assistance, maintenance, custodial tasks, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Requires excellent customer service, ability to lift 50 lbs, capability to work in a fast-paced environment, and maritime knowledge (TWIC or ability to obtain). Roles available at multiple NYC-area locations with in-person work (Brooklyn, Manhattan) and in New Jersey. Schedule includes part-time shifts with varying hours. Training and potential crew development are noted, along with safety drills and adherence to USCG and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to politely interact with passengers
- Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly-changing environment
- Previous marine experience preferred
- Valid TWIC or ability to obtain
- Knowledge of line handling and knot tying or ability to learn
