Job Summary
Provide home support services to clients in the Yukon Home Care Program to promote optimal functioning in activities of daily living and quality of life. Requires Home Support Worker or Nursing Home Attendant Certificate; duties include personal care, home management, and respite care in a community setting, with an emphasis on client-focused care. Must work independently and as part of a team, with shift work including weekends. Compliance with RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check, TB screening, WHMIS 2015, CPR level C AED, Food Safe, and a valid Yukon Class 5 Driver’s License is required. Location is Whitehorse, Yukon; term position ending March 31, 2027 with potential eligibility list for future permanent/term roles.
Required Qualifications
- Home Support Worker and/or Nursing Home Attendant Certificate
- Experience in Home Care or community-based setting
- Experience providing personal care, home management, and respite care in a community setting
- Possession of CPR level C AED
- WHMIS 2015
- Food Safe
- Valid Yukon Class 5 Driver’s License
- RCMP Security Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Check
