Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/FNP/AGNP/PA-C) needed for SNF Psychiatry team in Topeka, KS. Provide face-to-face psychiatric services in Skilled Nursing Facilities, assess mental status, diagnose DSM-V disorders, develop treatment plans, apply psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological treatments, and staff clinical cases with psychiatrists. Requires Kansas nursing licensure in psychiatry, Kansas pharmacy licensure to prescribe controlled substances (DEA), and at least 1 year of geriatric psych experience within SNFs or acute rehab settings. Bilingual Spanish a plus. Benefits include base salary with incentives, PTO, CEU allowances, and comprehensive coverage; full-time W2 with potential part-time options.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in Kansas by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry
- Licensed by the Kansas Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (DEA)
- 1 year of Geriatric Psychiatry experience
- 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals
