Job Summary
Tools & Parts Attendant at Amentum (PREPO) receives, stores, and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, and shop equipment, maintains tool inventories, and tracks calibrated tools. Responsibilities include inspecting tools for wear, attaching identification tags, reporting damaged items, and preparing periodic inventories; handles hazmat and adheres to safety, quality, and environmental requirements. The role may involve lifting up to 50 lbs, operating a government vehicle, occasional travel, shift work, and obtaining necessary credentials or certifications. Requires US citizenship for facility credentials, a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of tool/parts experience, and basic computer skills; familiarity with warehousing concepts and safe handling procedures is expected.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in tools and parts
- Familiarity with warehousing concepts
- Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed
- Must have a valid and current state driver’s license
- Ability to operate a government general-purpose vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- May require travel
- May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
