Job Summary
Tools & Parts Attendant responsible for issuing, inventories, and controlling tools, test equipment, hazardous materials, and parts for aerospace ground equipment and helicopters (HH-60/HH-1). Performs ordering, scheduling, shipping, requisitioning, and routing through SBSS/IMDS; maintains bench stock, tool boxes, and tail-number bins; handles hazardous materials per MSDS and regulations; supports aircraft movement and ground handling; requires ability to read and interpret technical orders, operate within a maintenance hangar environment, and complete required training within 60 days; must have a valid civilian driver’s license and the ability to obtain a government flight line license; forklift and heavy vehicle license desired; adherence to safety, FOD awareness, and quality controls; shift availability (day, night, weekends) as required; compensation details indicate hourly rate of $27.86 with potential for variation based on contract and location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must successfully complete job training within 60 days of hire
- Must have a current civilian driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain a government flight line driver’s license
- Fork lift and 1.5 ton stake bed truck license rating is desired
- Working knowledge of aircraft hand and special tools
- Working knowledge of aircraft technical orders/job guides/publications
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
