Job Summary
Tool & Parts Attendant responsible for issuing, receiving, storing and inventorying all assigned tools, equipment, hazmat, shop equipment and specialized tools/test equipment; maintain records of issued/received tools, requisition stock, inspection for wear/defects, apply preservation and identification markings, and ensure security clearances and facility credentials as required. Requires ability to read technical publications, operate with minimal supervision, meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs, and obtain necessary security clearances and credentials (CAC/T3) for site access. Shift work is required and prior U.S. Navy aircraft maintenance experience is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years actual and recent organizational level aircraft maintenance experience (desired)
- Valid Virginia or North Carolina driver license (if NC resident)
- Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks
- Ability to read and interpret technical publications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Must be able to meet physical requirements and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to obtain a favorable T3 Secret eligibility status
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- U.S. Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization
